Week 1–2: focus on barrier + strict daily SPF. Most “treatment failures” are sunscreen failures.

Week 3–8: add one pigment-active (like vitamin C or azelaic acid) and keep retinoids low and slow.

Track progress with the same lighting every week. Pigment fades gradually—if you chase instant results, you’ll usually irritate skin.
